Lenia Mascha - Assistant Professor


Lenia Mascha is a practicing architect and a faculty member of the Institute of Architecture at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, teaching at studio Greg Lynn. She is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece, and the founder of studio LNMSCH, engaging with creative computation and robotic production techniques in design, architecture, and the arts.

At the I oA, Lenia is also currently conducting artistic research on architectural design and environmental acoustics. Previously, she taught at studio Hani Rashid (2017-2023), at the Institute of Urban Design of the University of Innsbruck (2016-2017), and co-directed the IoA Travelling Workshop (2018) at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Lenia has gained professional experience that ranges from research and writing to employing computational design strategies for large-scale construction with architectural offices Asymptote Architecture, Chalabi Architects, and Berger+Parkkinen Associated Architects, where she has been a senior design architect for over nine years, working on numerous award-winning cultural and civic projects in Europe.

Lenia studied architecture in Vienna, Berlin, and Thessaloniki, and holds a postgraduate master’s degree in Urban Strategies from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, and an architecture diploma from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Martin Murero - Model Building

Martin Murero - Model Building Assistant


Architect and modelbuilder practicing in Vienna. He completed his degree in Architecture at Technical University Vienna in 2001.  Following graduation, he spent one year in Italy studing industrial design.  He joined the studio team in the Fall of 2004.  He is primarily responsible for model building activities, and focusing on a range of techniques from handcrafting to digital fabrication, such the CNC mill, laser cutter and 3d printing devices.

Maja Ozvaldič - Assistant

Maja Ozvaldič - Assistant Professor


Maja Ozvaldič is a design architect and educator, from Maribor/Slovenia, teaching and working in Vienna/Austria. She graduated with distinction from the University of Applied Arts - Studio Greg Lynn.

She gained her professional experience in Vienna working with Peter Kogler, the next ENTERprise - architects and Chalabi Architects. After receiving the TISCHE Scholarship 2010 she went working for Cmmnwlth in New York prior to joining Asymptote Architecture New York, where she worked on a range of high-profile international projects.

As an educator she previously worked with Lise Anne Couture at GSAPP Columbia University in New York, Peter Trummer at the Institute for Urban Design (IOUD) in Innsbruck, and with Greg Lynn at the University of Applied Arts Vienna (since 2012) and UCLA.

Maja has co-designed and co-curated architectural exhibition formats that explore ways of disseminating architectural ideas using physical and digital media, and recently co-edited Positions: Unfolding Architectural Endeavors published by Birkhäuser in 2020. Since 2013 Maja has co-directed the SLIVER Lecture Series at the Institute of Architecture, addressing design agendas of contemporary culture in order to map the expanding field of architecture.

Bence Pap - Assistant

Bence Pap - Assistant Professor


Bence Pap is a licensed architect, and has been practicing and teaching since 2011 at Studio Lynn in Vienna.  Bence’s interests lie in the intersection of architecture and technology, expressed in speculative projects with new mediums in digital and analog formats. He has lectured and organized workshops focusing on the expanded notion of architecture throughout Europe.

Bence gained his professional experience with Zaha Hadid Architects in London where he was involved from 2007 to 2011 in a wide range of high-profile projects. In 2015 he founded the architectural office ATELIERPAP and in 2019 co-founded ARTEFACT, a practice focusing on the design and implementation of mixed-reality solutions.

He studied architecture in Vienna at the Technical University and the Academy of Fine Arts, and received his Diploma from the University of Applied Arts with distinction in 2006.

Kaiho Yu - Assistant Professor

Kaiho Yu - Assistant Professor


Kaiho Yu is an architectural designer and assistant professor at Studio Lynn - University of Applied Arts Vienna. Before joining Studio Lynn, he has been teaching at UCLA School of Art and Architecture and Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc). Professionally, Kaiho has practiced as project designer at MADA s.p.a.m. and Testa&Weiser in Los Angeles, as well as artist assistant for Amalia Ulman. 
 
Kaiho received his M.Arch from SCI-Arc where he graduated with merit thesis prize. His projects have been published on SSENSE, Arkitip, Time+Architecture, ONRAMP and Underscore. His recently exhibits at 2019 Bi-city Biennial of Urbanism/Architecture (Shenzhen) and Serbian Academy of Sciences and Art.
